About the Guardian Program

We are looking for special families to provide guardian homes to parent dogs in our breeding program. As a guardian family, you will have the opportunity to raise a parent dog or future parent dog as your own. They will remain with you, except when they come back to us for breeding and whelping. You will get the opportunity to be part of the excitement of having puppies without the responsibility!

What is a Guardian Home?

Guardian homes allow dogs in our program to get more one-on-one attention than we can physically provide with the number of dogs in our home. The parent dog or future parent dog will live in the home with their guardian family and are loved and spoiled just like those that live in our home.

What is a Guardian Family?

Our guardian families are close friends and people we trust to give parent dogs or future parent dogs in our program the best life possible. Once retired they will remain with their guardian family for the remainder of their lives.

How long is a parent dog in the breeding program?

Typically, our "Mamas" will have a maximum of 3 litters of puppies. After 3 litters, she will be retired and we will cover the cost to have her spayed. She will then live out the rest of her years with you.

How much does it cost to be a guardian family?

Becoming a guardian family does not require an upfront fee, but accepting this role means the family takes on responsibility for the dog's basic care and maintenance, including grooming, veterinary costs, vaccinations, training, flea and heartworm prevention, and other routine care needs not listed.

How can I become a guardian family?

We will be very selective of who dogs in our program will go to live with as we care very much about these dogs and want to ensure that our parent dogs are being taken care of as we would care for them. Keeping them healthy and in loving homes will have a positive impact on future litters.
